MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENTS:
During peak periods and holidays our suites require a two night minimum stay and our rooms require a two night minimum stay on weekends (in the same room). Please contact us for one night stay availability as even during peak periods and holidays we may release available rooms for a one night stay. One night stays during peak peak periods and holidays require full, non-refundable payment at the time of booking.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT:
Check-in Time - 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Outside of these hours can be accommodated by prior arrangement.
Check-out Time - 11.00 a.m. Late check-outs may be available for an extra fee.
We accept personal and traveler's checks, cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Any returned check fees or credit card chargeback fees (unless legitimate) will be charged to the customer.
A fifty-percent deposit is required within seven days of making your reservation.
For certain peak periods -- including fall foliage, holidays, and special events -- these deposits are non-refundable. Special events include, but are not limited to, Laconia Bike Week, summer camp visit days, fall foliage season, the New Hampshire Marathon, and the Lakes Region Triathlon.
CANCELLATION/DEPOSIT REFUND POLICY:
If you cancel your reservation:
Proper notification of a cancellation must be provided and a confirmation of cancellation obtained otherwise guest shall be responsible for entire stay.
EARLY DEPARTURE AND LOST KEYS:
Should an early departure be necessary during a minimum stay period guest shall be responsible for full payment of the minimum number of nights.
There is a lost key charge of $25.
VIEWING OUR PROPERTY:
Please contact us in advance to make a viewing appointment so we can ensure we will be available and the rooms are unoccupied and fully prepared.
Brides who are guests of the bed breakfast who would like their bridal party to prepare for the wedding in their room may do so only with the prior approval of the innkeeper (unless the bridal party are also guests of the bed breakfast) and may require an extra fee.
Professional/Wedding photography is not allowed on the property without the express written permission of the innkeeper and may require an extra fee.
The Henry Whipple House is a no-smoking facility including the use of e-cigarettes and other vaping devices. Ashtrays are provided on the porches for those people who wish to smoke. Anyone ignoring our no-smoking policy and smoking in their rooms will be charged an extra $250 service charge to cover extra cleaning costs.
Your well-mannered children are welcome -- however, note, please, that the Main House is adult-oriented and not suitable for children under 12 unless you can guarantee their good behavior. Please be courteous and understand that some of our guests are seeking respite from all their stresses, including work, home, and children. Our Carriage House Suites are particularly well-suited for families with small children. Parents or guardians must supervise minors at all times. Cribs and cots are available on request.
We're sorry we cannot accommodate pets and do not allow pets to be left overnight in cars. As we are a small business operated in our home this applies to service animals and comfort animals also.
We have two cats who are not allowed in any of the guest rooms nor do they have access to The Carriage House as this is a separate building. The Carriage House Suites and The Garden Suites are therefore suitable for guests with allergies. Our cats do have access to the public areas of the main house.
DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES:
Our rooms contain many antique furnishings and ornamentation which are valuable and delicate so we would be extremely grateful if you treat these with care. Unfortunately any damages or breakages must be paid for.
